Who Am I?

I am an author of fantasy and science fiction, with an emphasis on philosophical questions that I hope my readers will be eager to chew on.

While I was educated at Merchant Taylors’ School, Northwood my love for science was apparent. However, there was always a not-so-quiet voice in the back of my mind, always ready to lure me back to playing video games, almost all of of which were within fantasy or sci-fi settings. This continued throughout my time at Swansea university, where I studied biology by day and destroyed all manner of aliens and demons by night.

Later, I found myself in a very rewarding career teaching primary school children, but that voice, ever-present, always had me coming back to some of the most well-conceived fictional worlds ever put to screen, console or page. School holidays, naturally, gave me the time to imagine worlds of my own. Before I knew it, I’d drawn Aethradel’s map, infused my love for science into it and created a magic system of my own.

Needless to say, the more I wrote, the more I wanted to write. Two more worlds have seemingly taken a stroll from the aether, directly into my mind and I cannot wait to reveal more about them. For the time being, I hope you enjoy reading a story from Aethradel as much as I enjoyed creating it!
